Meet the Doctors and Staff at Parkview Family Eye Center
Marcia Stauter, OD
Dr. Marcia Stauter grew up in eastern Colorado on a farm and ranch. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Colorado, Boulder and graduated from the Southern California College of Optometry where she received her doctorate of Optometry in 1985.
Tired of the crowds and wanting to be closer to home, she moved to Greeley and has been here ever since.
Dr. Stauter enjoys meeting and caring for all her patients and their families but especially enjoys taking care of children. She is an active member of the Colorado Optometric Association, having served on a children’s vision task force over the last year.
She continues to take courses to keep up with the new technologies and treatments available today regarding laser vision surgery, cataracts, red eyes, glaucoma, and children’s vision. She is certified in the fitting and caring of the CRT contact lenses which are ones that you sleep in overnight so you don’t have to wear glasses or contacts during the day. She has taken extra coursework to help patients who suffer from dry eyes.
She is married to Rick and they have three children, Alex, Rita, and Amy. They have also welcomed a new grandbaby to the family. Her hobbies include volleyball, golf, helping at the kids’ schools, and at St. Peter’s Catholic Church.
Monique Mikula, OD
Dr. Mikula was born in eastern Colorado and graduated from high school in Custer County, Westcliffe, Colorado. She earned her bachelor degree in biology at the University of Colorado in Boulder in 1989. Dr. Mikula earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, CA in 1994.
During her last year in optometry school, some of her externships included the Colorado Optometric Center in Denver, Colorado which was primary care practice setting that included the use of therapeutics, contact lenses, vision therapy and low vision, the Center for the Partially Sighted in Santa Monica, California which specialized in low vision rehabilitation, and the private practice of Drs. Donald Getz and Gary Etting in Van Nuys, CA, which specialized in behavioral vision care with extensive therapy training, designing and implementing vision efficiency, vision perception, strabismus, and amblyopia programs with children and adults.
In 1994, Dr. Mikula entered private practice in Greeley, Loveland, and Ft. Collins, offering comprehensive family vision care, hard to fit contact lens services, pediatric and vision therapy for children and adults for vision-related learning problems, strabismus, amblyopia, and vision rehabilitation from head and brain injury. She purchased the Greeley practice in 1997. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, Colorado Optometric Association, Optometric Extension Program (OEP), and an Associate member of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD).
Outside the office, Dr. Mikula likes spending lots of family time with her husband, Marek, and son, Blake, gardening, playing the piano, singing, bicycling, rollerblading, and hiking in the mountains when time allows.

Front Desk
Diane has been part of our staff and front office team for over 6 years now. She also has paraoptometric knowledge and optical dispensing skills and gets to help out in all areas, be it pretesting patients, dispensing contacts, helping with frame selection and dispensing. She does it all with a smile and friendly attitude. Her knowledge is invaluable to us in this ever-changing world of eyecare services.
Diane enjoys her time outside of the office her two children, Tyler and Mindi, and grandchildren.

Front Desk
Christie is the person who usually greets you either on the phone or at the front desk. She can answer questions you have about our office, services, and insurance benefits. If she doesn’t know, she will figure them out and let you know.
Christie has been in customer service for over 25 years, with the last several years in optometry. She enjoys interacting with and helping people.
She has been married for over 3 years and counting to her husband Randy. They have two married daughters, Melissa and Heather, and five wonderful grandchildren whom they adore. She enjoys golfing, fishing, and anything to do with the mountains.
